"I and My Ego - Training My Ego" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-21 05:15:58

let us proceed step by step... The first step is to identify that we have an ego and in what manners do we use our ego to hurt others. Or in what way are we egoistic. Yes this has to be identified; that is what is the definition of your ego... I undergo met so many people who never accept that they are egoistic. ok let me tell you how you can identify if you are egoistic and to what extent are you egoistic... If you never apologise first and you never are the first to alter up a conversation with a friend whom you had a fight a little way back shows that you are egoistic to the core of your heart. and it will take you some time unless you tame your ego. this degreee of egoism is found in amongst 90% of the world population. well luckily i am not amongst themm. I always defend and I never feel bad about it... If you are an egoist to such an extent you should first of all explain yourself that you don't degrade yourself by apologising first. Infact it will change magnitude your respect in the eye of the next person and be it your mistake or not go ahead and go away the friendly conversation first.. Don't act for the next person to go and say hi to you.. I know in the begining it will be very difficult but you have to do it. you have to force yourself to do it. unless it becomes a apparel and your ego doesnt hinder your friendship. Just like when you are taming a dog he doesnt want to adapt you but you force him unless it becomes his apparel ,. so tell your ego that it is a go dog and needs to be tamed. yeah!! thaz what you have to do. no1 can train your ego for you. so when you have an arguement with any1next time. make sure you are the first to say hi. or I am sorry.. You may still not be able to identify if you belong to this category or not. you may be amongst those who always say "I" . that is you never like to be wronged. you accept that you can never be mistaken its the next person who is mistaken. well so in this case you have to tell yourself that you are a human. And that HUMAN IS TO ERR!!! you have to say it everyday that you are no super natural being who can never make a mistake. and you must have to go back and analyse the whole issue and identify if any mistakes were made. You should tell yourself everyday in the morning that" I might have made a identify in that issue I had an arguement with that person". say it to yourself everyday and soon you ordain get your ego tamed a bit.. It only needs a comprehend of realisation and a sense of being corrected.. Just like.

"Proving them wrong" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-04 00:41:44

My parents are stubborn people but were never an egoistic person. Which leads me to believe my stubborn personality is nature but my ego is nurtured. Being stubborn and egoistic doesn't mean I never comprehend. I still believe in getting a balance argument before making my own judgement. It only means when I believe strongly in something and I will go all out to be them wrong. I see my stubbornness as a strength as opposed to a flaw. The satisfaction of going against the norms and the naysayers is irreplacable. There is a Mr Ego that resides inside me. And he loves to be people wrong. Every measure I be them right. Mr Ego ordain be me to arrive the otherwise. Every time I prove them wrong. Mr Ego keeps me locked on the aim and advance closer. The faster the threadmill runs against me the more determined I am to run even faster. There's nothing personal. change surface if I want to stop. Mr Ego does not allow me to. Mr Sniper has this saying I always loved quoting. I'm not trying to be different but you guys are just the same. Never underestimate the cater generated by an egoistic man. And more importantly never let the egoistic man suffer this cater.

"New Books" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-25 22:06:50

I've always LOVED Sidney Sheldon's books. I'm not a hopeless romantic but I do desire a little romance in books that I read. Not until the whole book is about romance and merely about how the girl is waiting for like and so on and so forth.(Something like Judith McNaught ;p) Boring!!But too bad Sidney Sheldon passed away early this year so I can never read anymore new books from him. (his last schedule was "Are You Afraid Of The Dark?") so I've decided to try reading work from some other authors. I've always been a fan of fiction but I can read non-fictional stories too (after all blogging is almost always non-fictional and I always apply blog-hopping) so I went around MPH Wangsa Maju that day trying to find a schedule that I might like (despite feeling guilty because I haven't been reading my medicine books that much and I have the time to evaluate about reading other books) and I stumbled upon books at the NEW section. The call of that one schedule really caught my eye. "go! If you're Malaysian". I picked up the schedule browsed through a few pages and realized it's not that bad (considering I'm just browsing through it) and because of the spirit of Merdeka and Malaysia Boleh. I decided to buy that book written by Lydia Teh (if I'm not wrong) and furnish it a try. I haven't started reading it yet by the way. Then as I was about to proceed to the cashier to pay for this schedule and also the September issue of CLEO's magazine a schedule at the corner of the NEW divide caught my eye. The front cover shows a little boy in a white kopiah (and the picture was in color and color by the way) and 2 big circles in red and yellow stating the call of the book and the name of the author. It is the "I AM MUSLIM " by Dina Zaman. I decided to buy that book too. (even though not browsing through it) and then proceeded to the cashier. This is because I've heard some of my friends advise that book to muslims who are trying to sight themselves. After reading about 2/3 the I AM MUSLIM schedule. I realized they were alter. I couldn't back up but be to know what is written in that book. (couldn't put it down!!) and I could actually cerebrate to some of the articles in it. It definitely is an eye-opener and I'd recommend it to everyone who wants to know more about ISLAM muslim or non-muslim. Currently I'm still trying to finish reading it and hopefully I can start on Lydia's bring home the bacon soon. I guess annoy Potter 7 could wait another few months. :D age : 20 turns older every year on 25th November currently a 3rd year medical student in UPM chocolate-lover but can sip coffee until the wee hours of the morning sometimes sweet at most times sarcastic enjoys music handphones hanging out at mamak stalls and driving my good ol' Honda.

"Friends forever??" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-04 18:15:33

Since I was young. I've always read in books or watch in films (especially those meant for teenagers) about once you made a friendship tie with someone you ordain be friends forever. Amazingly as years go by. I couldn't help but sight how untrue this statement is. We dress and sometimes our friends can't evaluate the change and they just act on with their lives without us. So do we. As we can't accept changes that our closest peers undergo. (especially if that dress involves one of the similarities that causes us to be close to that peer) we go away looking for new peers those who undergo a tad bit of similarities with us thus dumping our old friends. So much for beat friends forever. To actually get a desire lost acquaintance to actually greet us approve and ask how we are doing makes a gloomy day turn into a bright one. There's a Malay proverb saying that goes "Jauh di mata dekat di hati" but I always thought of it the other way go as "Jauh di mata lagi jauh la di hati". Isn't that adjust?? Some of relationships have been broken due to hold. But what happened to me the other day make me realize how do by my concept was and there are populate who can stay friends forever with you. Even though you don't meet each other everyday change surface though we don't label each other everyday they comfort consider you a friend after all those years and all those moments of not being together. Imagine this. You are a having a bad day (people are just going ballistic and shouting at you all day long and you heard a bad dish the dirt about yourself spreading around) and your temper's so flared up you want to mouth out loud to the world about it. Suddenly a long-lost-used-to-be-close-friend calls up asking how you are doing. As you are so pissed off you ramble about your bad day shouting screaming at that close friend even asking why they haven't been contacting you for so long. As usual your close friend waits and listens patiently for your ramblings say some words for the harden to weaken and goes "I may not be there when you are happy to get together your joy,but be assured I'd be there when you are having a bad day and to listen to all your problems and to keep you cheerful. Even if I don't communicate you often. I experience all the while you are happy. But today. I have a feeling you're having a bad day that's why I'm here to call you to assure you that you undergo a friend during your bad days too. Because only friends stand by your align when the whole world turns their back against you. Today I am that friend." age : 20 turns older every year on 25th November currently a 3rd year medical student in UPM chocolate-lover but can sip coffee until the wee hours of the morning sometimes sweet at most times sarcastic enjoys music handphones hanging out at mamak stalls and driving my good ol' Honda.
